The Ministry of External Affairs completed two types of certification. One is ‘Normal Attestation’ and another one is ‘Apostille Attestation’. If the destination Country is a Hague Conventional Country then the Diploma Certificate Apostille from MEA will be done.

The Diploma Certificate Attestation from Embassy in India will be completed only after the Attestation from MEA, Govt. of India. As per normal process, the Diploma Certificate Attestation or Authentication will be completed from HED in the first step, but alternatively the Diploma Certificate can also be Attested from Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Delhi prior Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) Attestation. The Diploma Certificate which will be Attested from SDM, Delhi must be Attested or Apostilled from MEA, Delhi only. SDM Attestation may be done same day.
The Diploma Certificate Attestation from Home Department, Mumbai or Mumbai Mantralaya Attestation is the oldest, well known and popular method of Attestation before Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Govt. of India certification.
